Leasing (sometimes called lease-purchase or lease-financing) allows a municipality, fire district, or volunteer fire department to obtain much-needed vehicles and equipment now, but pay for it over time at a low interest rate. At the end of the lease term, the municipality, fire district, or volunteer fire department owns the equipment, without any further obligation and free of any liens.
What Can Be Leased?
Almost anything considered essential to the operations of a municipality, fire district, or volunteer fire department can be leased. This includes vehicles, equipment and real estate projects.
Who Can Lease?

What Lease Terms Are Available?
Depending on the vehicle, equipment, project size, etc., lease terms range from 2-years to 15-years. Payment frequency can be tailored to a municipality’s, fire district’s, or volunteer fire department’s needs.
